I know not many people watch me, so I'm not exactly expecting this to get out to a whole bunch of people, but I'm really excited about the DisplaceMe rally going on this weekend. The DisplaceMe rally is kind of the same thing as the Global Night Commute that happened last year.

Basically, it's a rally to draw attention to the invisible children in Northern Uganda. Everyday, children are abducted from their homes and forced to become soldiers in the army of the LRA, who's sole goal is to overthrow the current government in Uganda. They are brainwashed and desensitized to killing, and the horrors that they face are horrendous. Thousands of children flee their homes in hopes of escaping abduction, and these are the children we are representing.

During DisplaceMe, attendees will construct cardboard 'tents' in which to sleep at night, and will eat nothing but a few saltine crackers and a single bottle of water for roughly 18 hours (3 pm on Saturday, until 10 am Sunday morning). We will also be writing letters to our senators, asking them to not be blind to the horrors that are going on in Northern Uganda. A video will be made, which is then going to be played in Congress, while Congress is in session.

Please check out the DisplaceMe website, and see if there is a city near you that is hosting such an event. If there isn't, and you can't drive/fly to an event that it closer to you, then please, pray for Uganda, and for our leaders, that they will bring peace to the country and keep these children from suffering any longer.
